Audible. Also available on Kindle. Originally part of the Christmas in the City Anthology. (The anthology was a freebie in December of 2019 and is no longer available, but sometimes people forget they already own a version of a book.) I paid just under $5 for this, but the price has been reduced since and it’s my understanding the buying the ebook & purchasing the whispersync makes it even less.
Jamie and Wes are having a blast living and working in Toronto. Until a scout for another team swoops in to make one of them an offer that might complicate the life they’ve built together.
Point of view:
1st Person. Alternating by chapter.
This short story is classified as book 2.5 in the Him series. Chronologically, it also takes place after the WAGs series, but only slightly mentions the couple from Good Boy. You could listen to it before them and be fine, but I am one of those folks who likes to hear things in order.
This is a fun short for fans of Him/Us. At $5 (as of this post), I actually paid more for it than for Him & Us combined ~ but I’m a fan, so it was worth it. For those unfamiliar, it probably won’t mean much, but I definitely enjoyed an update on Wesmie. At only an hour, Bowen & Kennedy manage to pack a lot in for fans of the series. It’s a short so there isn’t a lot of opportunity for sexy scenes. There’s some making out, but sex is closed door. Blake is his lovable self. The hockey was fantastic. The title “Epic” is well deserved.
Dual narration by Teddy Hamilton & Jacob Morgan is fantastic. They didn’t miss a beat despite having recorded the previous book 3 years ago.
