Rellim’s Thoughts:
I listened to Lucy (Open-Door book 1) and was looking forward to this one as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t really click with the narrator. I think in great part due to the fact that the recording alternated between sounding like Hugh Bradley was whispering, talking from a distance, or speaking into a can. I liked his voice and might consider him in the future, but this didn’t work for me.
I opted to finish the book by reading it in Kindle Unlimited and really liked it. It’s a novella, but much more detailed than Lucy was. I felt sorry for Liam and Xander as they worked through their issues and was happy that they got their HEA.
