Ghost Order

We will drain the sea, to kill the fish.

Jay Tinsiano
Ghost Order

Format:
Audiobook.
Update: Since I received this review copy, the book has been bundled into a box set in ebook & audiobook format.

Publisher’s Synopsis:
Frank Bowen attempts to piece together a fractured life at home but finds himself pulled back into the dark state once again.

Only, this time, he’s playing both sides.

Hired by John Rhodes, founding father of the Liberatus movement, his mission is to escort a valuable asset to South America. Then the spectre of Carl Paterson emerges and Frank finds he has to work once again with his old agency, Ghost 13.

Later, in the depths of the Colombian Darien Gap jungle – swarming with narcos, paramilitary groups and bandits – Frank finds death and evil wait around every corner in the most inhospitable place on earth.

Point of view:
3rd person. Multiple perspectives, each by chapter.

Rellim’s Thoughts:
This is the final book in the Frank Bowen Conspiracy Thriller series. While this could technically stand on it’s own, I think it would be better enjoyed after listening to Pandora Red. Some of this review may contain spoilers to that book.

Poor Frank’s personal life is a bit of a mess. After the kidnapping & events in the last book, he’s separated from his wife. While Frank had intended to give up field work to try to repair his marriage – finances drive him to one more case. And it’s a doozy. This was another enjoyable book full of action, suspense, and trying to determine who is good and who is not. Not everyone is allied as they seem and it makes it difficult for Frank to stay alive and complete his mission.

I liked the way Tinsiano wrapped up this series.

Narration:
Chris MacDonnell does a good job with narration again. A variety of voices & accents are well done. I always knew who was talking.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from FreeAudiobookCodes.com and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

About the author:
Jay was born in Ireland but grew up on the flat plains of Lincolnshire before moving to the city of Bristol where he has been based, apart from far-flung nomadic excursions, ever since.

Jay is an avid reader and writer of fiction, specifically thriller, apocalyptic, and speculative and interweaves his experiences into his fiction writing.
