How to Catch a Prince

Format:
Audiobook

Publisher’s Synopsis:
When you’re faking a relationship, the last thing you should do is fall in love…especially with a prince.

Charlie is back in his hometown of Chester Falls for his sister’s wedding. What he needs is a date to keep him away from the wandering hands of his ex.

Prince Kristof of Lydovia, or simply Kris, needs an escape from the latest press scandal. Hiding away in an American small town doesn’t mean he can’t pretend to not be royal, or be someone’s boyfriend. Especially when that someone keeps falling all over him, literally.

Intense chemistry
A family wedding
Too many secrets

When their fake relationship starts to feel very real, and the press closes in, how will Kris and Charlie handle the fallout? And when the truth comes out will Charlie catch his prince, or will he let him go?

Welcome to Chester Falls, where you can expect to meet sweet men, sexy situations, interfering friends, lots of feels, and a happy ever after.

Point of view:
3rd person. Alternating POVs by chapter.

Rellim’s Thoughts:
This is perfect for folks who like insta-love, low angst, and mostly sweet romance. The sex scenes felt a little incongruous in that all of sudden the characters went from adorkable sweet to swearing and demanding. (I know that can be life, it just felt jarring.). I am looking forward to all the secondary characters in the book getting their own HEAs as the series continues.

Narration:
This was my first time listening to Nick Hudson. I appreciated his ability to keep Kris’s accent consistent throughout the book so you always knew whether it was Kris’s or Charlie’s POV. At the same time, there was something a little “caricature” about it that would sometimes bring me out of the story. I’d definitely listen to him again though.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Gay Romance Reviews and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

About the author:

  • Avid reader: give me two (or more) guys, plenty of chemistry, some issues to work through and a HEA, and I’m sold!
  • Custard tart aficionado
  • Wannabe baker and feeder of family and friends
  • Can only knit two kinds of stitches but I’m an ace at cross-stitch
  • Can parallel park in one single move – it really annoys the boyfriend!
