Publisher’s Synopsis:
When it feels right, don’t fight it.

Shane and Tucker have been mourning their wife’s death for two years. Their love for each other and their daughter has gotten them through the rough time. But while Shane is ready to take a chance on a new future, Tucker is stuck in the past, finding it hard to let go.

Paige is trying to put her life back together after her marriage crumbled following her husband’s arrest. Leaving California behind, she moves to Kansas, taking a job as a housekeeper and a nanny to a six-year-old girl.

She shouldn’t be dreaming of her sexy new bosses, but after seeing a steamy encounter between the two men, she can’t get either of them out of her mind.

Shane is certain Paige is the one who can finally heal them, but convincing her and Tucker might take a little scheming. Will it backfire or give them all a second chance at love?

Point of view:
Third Person. Alternating perspectives between Shane, Tucker, & Paige. Not by chapter, but always clearly defined.

Rellim’s Thoughts:
This is my first experience with author Samantha A. Cole, but it won’t be my last. I’m super picky about listening to MMF because too many have relationships that feel unbalanced, especially when a third joins an already established couple. Not here. While Shane & Tucker are left mourning after their wife dies – they are still committed, even if struggling to thrive, in the new dynamic. Paige comes to them to avoid the paparazzi and work as their house manager/nanny.

Cole manages to pack quite a bit into 5.5 hours – establishing Shane & Tucker’s background, their current life including an adorable daughter, introducing Paige, and then developing the relationships between them all. Plus, all the sexy romance – there are MM, MF, & MMF scenes in this book. There’s also a bit of a suspense element toward the end that was really well written though brief.

Despite not generally enjoying MFM as much – I enjoyed Cole’s writing so much that I’m actually tempted to listen to the next book in the series, Don’t Shoot the Messenger. I’m also intrigued by her Trident Security series. My TBL is going to explode.

Narration:
Sean Crisden does a great job here. He gives Shane and Tucker unique, yet still “Alpha” voices/personalities. I enjoy his female voices too which is nice because there’s more than just Paige for him to perform.

About the author:
USA Today Bestselling Author, Amazon Bestselling Author, and Award-Winning Author Samantha A. Cole is a retired police officer and paramedic. She’s lived her entire life in the suburbs of New York City and is looking forward to becoming a snow-bird between New York and Florida someday. Her two rescued pups keep her company and remind their mom to take a break from writing every once in a while to go for a walk, which is the best way to deal with a stubborn case of writer’s block.

About the narrator:
From Crisden’s website: I have been a professional voice artist since 2006 (wait, people pay me for this?) but my history extends further than that. As a child, I was known as “Radio Man” for the articulate, listenable qualities within my voice. I don’t know any other kid who took quite so much pleasure in standing up and reading out loud “Tikki Tikki Tembo” or “Bunnicula” for their class.

This lead to an early pursuit of performing and I performed for nearly a decade with the prog rock band Divided Sky as vocalist and guitar player. I have expanded my abilities into on-camera acting, appearing in numerous commercials and films including M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender”. I was even fortunate enough to act in and choreograph the combat sequences in “Le Meduse Rouge”.

I continue to grow, develop and refine my talents in an ongoing effort to find fulfillment by drinking of my creative well. I also train in several martial arts and do my best despite the lure of my bed and apple pie to stay in excellent physical shape.
