Publisher’s Synopsis:
Can a call to arms connect two hearts forever?

Charles and Emily have known each other since primary school and seem destined to wed, raise a family, and live out their love story in Bryeton. Everything changes in the blink of an eye when America comes under attack and Charles enlists.

Will their love survive years of separation, loneliness, and battles or fall prey to the horrors of war?

Rellim’s Thoughts:
This was a sweet short story and nice addition to the Bryeton series. It covers about 24 hours and is only the day Charles sets up to surprise Emily before he leaves for war. A treat for fans of the series.

Note: While part of a series, all the Bryeton Books are set in different eras. This short story can absolutely be read as a stand alone.
