Publisher’s Synopsis:
A snowy small town.

A snow globe that grants wishes.

A love that’s meant to be.

Evergreen, Vermont is about to be in the rearview mirror of Allie Shaw’s vintage red pickup truck. It’s hard to say goodbye to her small town and her veterinarian practice, but she’s moving to Washington D.C., where her big-city-loving boyfriend lives.

Ever since Ryan Bellamy’s wife died, he hardly knows how to celebrate Christmas. He’s decided to take his daughter Zoe to Florida, and Evergreen is just a quick stop on the way to the airport. While they’re there, Zoe partakes in a local tradition, making a Christmas wish on the snow globe at the town diner.

But neither Allie’s nor Ryan’s Christmas goes as planned. They’ve checked their wish lists twice, and they didn’t say anything about meeting someone new…or about a fresh chance at love.

Point of view:
3rd person. Alternating between Allie & Ryan’s perspectives.

Rellim’s Thoughts:
Sweeter than a Christmas sugar cookie! I didn’t see the movie this was based on, but I knew this was a novelization of a Hallmark made-for-TV film. While the beginning was a little slow and Allie’s internal musings were slightly repetitive, I still enjoyed this holiday story. Several of my favorite tropes: single dad, cute kid, forced proximity, small town…and some Christmas wishes coming true.

Narration:
I really enjoyed Kathleen McInerney’s performance. She has the perfect voice for this charming town and all its residents.

About the author:
USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle whips up small-town love stories with a dash of suspense and a whole lot of heart. She began her contemporary romance series, Adams Grove, while juggling a successful career as an SVP for Bank of America and life on a seventy-six-acre goat farm.

Now enjoying an early retirement from the financial industry, she devotes her time to writing, antiquing, cooking, trail riding on her Palomino, and the occasional spa day with friends. A native of Virginia Beach, she now calls the Blue Ridge Mountains home.
