While the storyline for Hunter & Kelly’s relationship is completely covered in this book – there’s an overall arc to the Fugitive Heroes: Topaz Unit series that makes these best experienced in order. Starting with Rogue Christmas Operation.
I loved this wrap up to the series. Finally all the answers the unit has been seeking since book 1 (Rogue Christmas Operation) are found. Definitely a lot of twists and surprises along the way. Covert ops and clandestine missions kept me on the edge of my seat.
Of course, Hunter & Kelly find their way back to each other and discover that the one night over a year ago was more than just a fling. Kelly becomes an integral part of the investigation. Learning they were all betrayed at the highest levels leaves them with few options.
Such a fantastic conclusion to an enjoyable series. I loved the epilogue too. The Topaz Unit deserved their happy ending.
