Publisher’s Synopsis:
A Hunted Assassin
A Corrupt Spymaster
A Vengeful Gangster
Slade Heller, an assassin for the Elysium Group (a Private Intelligence Company), is hunted as the target of a bounty hunt. He’s earned the wrath of the Russian mob, and a Bratva kingpin needs Slade dead. But there’s a bigger conspiracy at play and Elysium Group is targeted by the MI6 for Slade’s former actions on British soil.
Hunted by a gauntlet of assassins, mercenaries, and criminals looking to profit from his death, Slade goes on full assault mode. He’s on a warpath killing anyone in his way to survive at any cost while trying to solve a conspiracy that’s bigger than him. The cunning and devious assassin will have his most action packed day yet, if he can survive it. Fueled by his paranoia and his relentless sense of humor, Slade has to outfight legions of adversaries or die trying.
Point of view:
3rd Person
Rellim’s Thoughts:
This is the third Slade Heller short story and another great addition to the series. Series is best enjoyed in order as events from previous books are mentioned.
This time Slade is the hunted when there’s a bounty on his head. Every gun (or knife!) for hire is after him and the only way to stop it is to take out a Bratva gangster.
Lots of fast paced action: gun & knife fights, escape & evade. Great thriller when you’re in the mood for a quick read.
I’m looking forward to the next installment, A Way to Kill.
