John is the prequel novel for Laura Mowery’s Infinitum series.  It’s a freebie for subscribing to her newsletter.  I ended up reading it after Code Name: Timberwolf & Code Name: Sparrow and it worked just fine for me that way. 

This is, as the title implies, John’s story insofar it’s the few years before Code Name: Timberwolf.   I enjoy Mowery’s writing and the world she’s created.  This is a great teaser to her series if you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet.   

Honestly, it’s mostly sad and quite tragic and I was left desperately wanting to read Code Name: Grizzly so I could experience John’s full story and HEA.  Can’t wait until that releases on June 30th.

About the author:
Laura Mowery has had her nose in a book since she learned her ABC’s, so it’s no surprise that she pursued a career as an author. She grew up obsessed with stories, especially any that included supernatural or otherworldly elements. She also loved to get swept away on romantic adventures. Now she gets to combine the two and write about what she loves; suspense, superpowers, and steamy romance.
