Rellim’s Thoughts:
While MFM+ is seldom my go to, I saw this on Vivienne LaRue’s IG and thought it sounded interesting. This is my first experience with Krista Wolf’s writing and I enjoyed it.
I know the phrase “vacation toy” is in the book, but it feels a little misleading here as a title. Only a small part of the book is a vacation and Brooke isn’t treated as a toy. I was impressed with how Wolf developed the relationship between Brooke, Devin, Reese, & Hayden. These four form a bond beyond just hot sex.
I enjoyed the well developed reality TV show/Amazing Race aspect. Most of the chapters are from Brooke’s perspective and while I liked her as a character, I wish there had been a bit more from the guys’ POVs. It was a lot of fun to follow on all their adventures plus it helped solidify their relationship as more meaningful.
I loved the ending, epilogue & bonus epilogue. Overall a fun & sexy listen.
Narration:
Vivienne LaRue & Zachary Johnson made for a great combo here. They fit their own characters and complemented each other well. They each had subtle ways of differentiating the guys so that it was easy to keep track of who was talking. Will definitely look for more by both of them.
