It was a gravity, a power, like he was the center of something and those in his orbit were helpless to do anything but revolve around him.

Publisher’s Synopsis:
I need this internship to help pay for law school
I’m lucky my friend convinced her dad to hire me.
He’s intimidating, sexy and grouchy as hell that he agreed to help out some sorority girl.
We try to resist, but our chemistry is just too much.
Con and I spend a scorching night together.
My bestie can never know I’ve fallen into bed with her dad,
That I’ve fallen in love with him.
His vindictive ex tells his daughter about us.
My bff hates me. Con and I can never be together now.
I leave LA for good, go back to my small hometown,
With a broken heart and a huge secret.
Once so sure about my future, now I have no idea what I’m going to do.
One morning I come down to breakfast to find him sitting at my mom’s table,
Might I actually get my happily ever after?
Point of view:
1st person. Alternating between Con & Lily’s perspectives.
Rellim’s Thoughts:
Age gap books are my favorite. I *almost* didn’t read this because I thought “Taboo Daddies” was referencing daddy kink which isn’t my jam. Figured I’d just stop if it wasn’t working for me. Instead I read it in one day. Taboo is this being age gap, Best Friend’s Dad/Daughter’s Best Friend, and work place romance. Daddy comes from him already being a father.
Con (42) agrees to hire on his daughter’s best friend and recent college graduate, Lily (23). While slightly predictable, it was in that snuggle up & comfort read kind of way. I know it’s going to be all right, but that doesn’t keep me from laughing, shedding a few tears, and being excited when these two find their HEA.
Con and Lily have hot sex but also spend a lot of time dating – even if in secret. There’s plenty of surprises for these two and I liked the way Black handled everything.
