Publisher’s Synopsis:
Rosco is an emergency room doctor with a daughter who relies on him. Between his career and family, he has little time for any type of personal life. But he finds himself flirting with one of the ambulance EMTs and, to his surprise, he gets flirted with right back.

Point of view:
3rd person. Alternating between Roscoe & Miguel’s perspectives.
Rellim’s Thoughts:
Awe! I was looking for something sweetly low-angst and this was the perfect fit. This launches Andrew Grey’s Carlisle Medical series.
Roscoe is an ER doctor who regularly encounters his unrequited high school crush, Miguel. Now an EMT, Miguel has definitely taken notice of the hot doctor at the hospital. Roscoe is fully committed to being a great dad to his 5yo, Posey with the help of his parents. But something is missing… Miguel.
These two were charming. Roscoe has some fear after bad relationships in the past, but working through that doesn’t overwhelm the story. Most of the tension comes from a homophobic director and the hospital and his goal to force Roscoe out.
I enjoyed how the relationship evolved, especially Miguel proving he’s truly there for Roscoe and the way they interact with Posey. Overall a good comfort read and I’m looking forward to continuing the series.
