Publisher’s Synopsis:
A woman and her husband rent a summer house, but what should be a restful getaway turns into a suffocating psychological battle. This chilling account of postpartum depression and a husband’s controlling behaviour in the guise of treatment will leave you breathless.

Point of view:
1st person. Semi-autobiographical

Rellim’s Thoughts:
Short psychological thriller included in Audible Plus. Semi-autobiographical about her experience with post-partum psychosis – Gilman wrote in first person from the perspective of a woman convalescing in a rental home with her husband, newborn, and staff. Initially frustrated by how everyone is handling her chronic illness, she slowly becomes obsessed with the wallpaper in the room their staying in.

Enjoyable & twisted historical.

Narration:
My first time listening to Cynthia Erivo. I enjoyed her performance. She did a great job with the variety of emotions.
