Point of view:
1st person. Entirely from Avery’s perspective.
Rellim’s Thoughts:
My first book by Jaberona B.L. and absolutely will not be my last. Honestly, I kind of feel that the blurb & listed categories are a disservice to this book and the author’s skill. This is way more of a suspense/thriller than a romance and it’s done really well.
It’s succinct, but developed for the length and it really packs a punch. Definitely dark and twisty. I was genuinely surprised and slightly uncomfortable with several parts. But in that good, almost psychological suspense, way.
This ends perfectly – where it’s great exactly as it is yet I’d also love to see more of these characters.
Content Warnings (possible spoilers):
Check the author’s CW at the beginning of the book.
About the author:
I’m Jaberona BL, and I write LGBTQ fiction.
I create stories about messed-up relationships between unlikely lovers. Wholesome romance is not my thing, although I do enjoy happy endings! Whether my stories take place in medieval fantasy worlds or modern settings, they explore the darker side of attraction – if that’s your thing, join the ride!
