Skin Sessions: Demon at the Doorstep
For such a short story, the characters were well developed and I found myself connecting with each of them for various reasons. Jackson weaves a little humor into a horror featuring a dystopian world filled with fae, demons, vampires, ghosts, zombies, and more.
His Rival
This is a debut from this author and I really wanted to like it, but just couldn’t. This story suffered from a lack of worldbuilding and authenticity. I didn’t feel connected to the story or the characters.

Unfortunately, this reads like a rough first draft or outline. I get that it’s a short story but it’s underdeveloped and has very simplistic writing.
Vibration
I have to admit, I was a little worried that Davis wouldn’t be able to redeem the affable but rudderless and seemingly self-centered Cal. I shouldn’t have been though. Between realizing he was often misunderstood and the way he matures over the rest of the book – I ended up loving him.
